d7 – 3wk shakedown

Parts Order:

We ordered the parts for the awning this morning and will pick them up next week all being well, from a town about an hour away.

If worse comes to worse and we can’t get there for some reason, we’ll just get the company to post them; but we can’t see any reason currently on why we wouldn’t be able to collect them.

Out & About:

In addition to the usual Mabi beach walks, we drove out to Bowen Harbour and got some fish & chips for lunch, and then took them to go sit at the tables on the foreshore.

Not the most fabulous feed as – despite how incredibly lovely and fresh the fish was – it was dripping in oil and the chips were over-cooked.
Edible and definitely tasty enough, just a bit disappointing…

Groceries:

After lunch we drove to the nice big car park at the Supermarket, and it was time to do some computer work in the bus for the Short One – and the obligatory nap for Mabi – while the Tall One went and did the grocery shopping.

Afternoon:

The Tall one needed a nap by the time we got back to the Van Park, so being the dutiful and faithful dog that she is, Mabi kept her company…

Once nap-time was done, the rest of the afternoon was spent once again playing with and learning how to use some new software that we’re trying out.

For dinner we had nachos with the chilli that was made yesterday.
Ohhhh lordyyyy it was soooo good..
With guacamole and sour cream added – just heavenly!
The leftover chilli has gone into the freezer.

Until next time – happy travels, and make the moments matter.
