Pentland & Prairie

We said we’d go back to Pentland, but we didn’t realise it would quite so soon!

We’ve been unsure all along which direction we were going to be taking on this leg of our trip as we meander our way (we think!!) toward our first sampling of the Murray River, then possibly on to the Fleurieu, Yorke and Eyre Peninsulas; before winding back and following (hopefully) right the way along the entire Murray.

That’s our current very loose plan anyways!

Our return to Pentland did not disappoint.
It was as lovely, peaceful and relaxing as we’d remembered. 

Heating up

Much warmer during the days than it was only a few short weeks ago, but still a great place to spend a few days for us all to rest up, relax and to get a few household jobs done, as well as the ever-present Life-Admin.

Did we mention there’s also a pool at the Pentland Caravan Park?

And did we also mention the $3 washing machine?!
Yes, we did laundry.

Prairie

We had hoped to stop into the Prairie Hotel and have a look around this time, however it was closed unfortunately, so we just took the dogs for a walk around a bit, took some photos, and then got everyone back into the bus and headed off.

Luckily – there Tall One took one last glance in the rear view mirror and noticed something, and did a super-snappy u-turn.

There on the side of the road, was our bus step.
Just sitting there, out in the middle of the dirt, all on its lonesome….

We’d both forgotten to pop it back into the footwell before shutting the door, and had driven off without it.
